In the University Medical Center Utrecht Logis.P implemented the newly developed HIS Connector. This solution prevents errors in patient information by dint of high grade technical links with the hospital information system.

The HIS Connector scans IDs and automatically copies the data to the hospital information system. Many of the data vital for hospitals is incorporated on passports, drivers licenses and other IDs. The HIS Connector makes this data accessible and editable for hospital staff.

UMC Utrecht is one of the major teaching hospitals in the Netherlands, located in its fourth city.  

The hospital didn't need to make any adjustment in their ICT-structure and logistics. "This is the best solution if a hospital has no direct interest in a complete server-based product," says CEO Jeroen Bos. "Institutions will directly increase quality of information, patient safety, effective processes and prevention of fraud. It fits in the goal of lean organizations."
