Ricoh collaboration expands to self-service solution for government

Ricoh and Logis.P launched self-service & hospitality solutions for the government last week. The solution delivers great advantages on the efficiency and quality of in-house services. Citizens can execute many tasks individually by dint of self-service kiosks in government building, hence taking over the tasks of front desks. Because on every government level budgetary cuts and the quality of services are important goals, the Ricoh Logis.P solutions are fit to reach the set objectives. The self-service concept enhance efficiency at front desks, the satisfactions of citizens and the optimization of services.

Recently Ricoh and Logis.P got a positive review on a pilot at one of the three largest cities of the Netherlands. The successful pilot proves furthermore that the need and the effect of our self-service solutions is fruitful.

The best solution for multiple goals
A study of The Economist Intelligence Unit learns that in the following three years the improvement of the core processes is an area that will experience the largest changes in order to reach goals of more efficiency in the future. The digital workplace and self-service are inevitable parts of this change.

The great advantage that our self-service and hospitality provides is twofold. First the new generation of guidance and visitor flows. The Ricoh Logis.P system not focuses solely on visiting citizens, but offers services to all visitors, e.g. suppliers and appointments. Making appointments with civil servants, check-in and information on waiting times and processing are a part in the functionalities of the solution.

Second is self-service. Letting citizens execute a large number of tasks themselves. Possible uses are handing in documents and the application, processing and payment of municipal services. The tasks at the front desk will be brought back to just the necessary responsibilities.

The self-service wish of citizens
"The need for solutions that transfer responsibilities to the user itself is growing. Consumer despise waiting and are willing to use self-service to accomplish a faster and individualized processes within institutions." So says Pieter Rahusen who is the Senior Marketing & Development Manager of Ricoh in The Netherlands.

He states that Ricoh and Logis.P's self-service solutions enable Dutch municipalities to execute their services more efficient, meet the desires of citizens and save on expenditures.
